I am a Wellcome Research Fellow at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit at Cambridge.
I train as a cognitive neuroscientist studying human brain processing of speech and language. My Wellcome fellowship studies multimodal speech comprehension in hearing-impaired adults with cochlear implants. Specifically, I study how the brain's different sensory (auditory and visual) systems work together for cochlear-implanted adults to integrate audiovisual information to support their speech comprehension (CrossModal-CI).
I am also parts of ongoing studies into neural speech processing in adults sufferring from post-stroke aphasia and neural processes during social interactions in typically hearing or cochlear-implanted children.
